EYE'14: Discerning your Diocesan Delegation
With Advent and Christmas right around the corner, I know that this is a busy time of year for church staff.
However, in the hustle and bustle of the seasons, please don’t lose track of your window of opportunity for recruiting and discerning your diocesan delegation for the 2014 Episcopal Youth Event (EYE’14).
Registration for EYE’14 opens January 3, 2014 and will remain open until March 15 or when dorm capacity is reached, whichever comes first. To ensure your delegation’s participation in EYE’14, you will want to register as close to January 3 as possible.

Not sure how to discern your delegation?
I offer as a sample the application process being used by my colleague, Randall Curtis, of the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas.
Notice that the relevant information is included on the registration page – event timeline, cost, and transportation plans. He also includes a couple of essay questions, which will be used to assist in selecting participants. Be sure to publish the date by which you will notify applicants whether they are chosen to participate. Families need this information for budgeting and summer travel planning.
Notice also that applicant information for both youth and adults is being collected online. Randall used FormStack, which is an online form-builder, to create the embedded form. You can also create online forms through Google Drive. Of course, you can always use downloadable pdfs for registrations. But keep in mind that registration for EYE’14 is online only.
As always, please post here or Bronwyn Clark Skov or Valerie Harris if you have any questions about EYE’14.
Faithfully,
Bronwyn
