Hello! My name is Nick Gordon and I am the new Julia Chester Emery Intern for this year! I am a senior at New York University at the Gallatin School for Individualized Study. As a part of my concentration, I have studied in various fields, including music education, religious studies, and social justice, among others. Being given the opportunity to work with UTO and RJCC (Reconciliation, Justice and Care of Creation Team on the Presiding Bishop’s staff) excites me greatly as it will help take a lot of my academic and personal interests and bring them to action in a new way!
When I am not in the classroom I also work with NYU’s Center for Global Spiritual Life, where I help manage various aspects of their programming, as well as with Canterbury Downtown, which is the Episcopal campus ministry of the Diocese of New York that seeks to serve students at all downtown Manhattan campuses. I also serve on the vestry at my parish, St. John’s in the Village NYC, where I have been fortunate enough to spearhead various initiatives. In my free time I am also an avid birder, knitter, and classical music enthusiast who loves to be in the outdoors. I am so looking forward to joining the team at UTO and digging into all the exciting work that is ahead!
