As fall starts to unfold around us in the Northern Hemisphere, the cooler weather invites us to head outside to exercise or simply explore nature. Many of us love to join a Turkey Trot in November to walk or run as part of our Thanksgiving tradition. Maybe you want to commit to walking more now that the weather is nicer, or start taking a class at a local gym. Whatever physical activity you are looking forward to this fall, we hope you’ll pair it with The Great EpisGOpal Race. This is our fourth annual race and is back by popular demand. Last year the race raised over $8,000 to support the work of Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) and its Neighbor to Neighbor project. This year, we hope to raise over $10,000 to support EMM and its important work of welcoming refugees on behalf of The Episcopal Church.
To learn more about the race visit www.unitedthankoffering.com/race, or register for the race here. Registration is $30 and you can have your registration fee returned if you choose to fundraise. This year you can also purchase a shirt with the image at the top of the article. Just a reminder, 100% of your registration costs and any fundraising will go toward the 2023 UTO Ingathering, and then 100% of the money will go to EMM as a grant, so when you participate in the race, you help both UTO and EMM.
