Inclusion, Equality and Opportunity to Learn Together
From the Final Grant Report

Tell us a bit about how your project unfolded.
The Inclusion, Equality and Opportunity to Learn Together project in this first year at the Transfiguration School provides education and psychological support to 85 vulnerable migrant boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 12 who are victims of migration and most of whom are in incomplete families.
The number of children and families will increase annually because it is an ongoing project that allows us to visit more families with the opportunity to provide education to their children on an equal basis without discrimination, which allows for happy boys and girls.
What was the best part of the project?
When we started construction, it was wonderful to see the community engaged and helping. Then when we were finally able to welcome students, seeing the excitement and joy of the students and their families was wonderful. It was a day of blessings shared with everyone in the community.
Did this grant make a difference in how you see gratitude?
Yes, when I talk to the parents of the children who are now part of the Inclusion, Equality and Opportunity of Learning Together project, seeing them smile, sharing with the other students in the classroom or on the playground, I can feel that we are instruments of God, the means to reach out to others and benefit those who need help. I can also see that there are people who not only need money but also, as is the case of these families, who also need education and health.
What are your plans going forward?
Our plan is to maintain visits to places where we find migrants or people in extreme poverty to provide educational and psychological help to them. We plan to create a group for the maintenance and care of the facilities and a committee to visit and support the children outside of school to help them with their education. We are also working to create an alliance with the Ministry of Public Health for the medical care of children and their families.
