By Joyce Landers, UTO Board Vice President
The UTO Board is creating a series of short videos to assist people interested in applying for a UTO grant. We recommend these videos for both grant writers as well as those providing support to the writer. We will still be offering webinars in October, November, December, and January. However, they will be an open Q&A format rather than the more formal format we used in the past. Please check the helpful hints page for dates, times, and registration information. We understand that not everyone can attend our webinars, and we do not record them for privacy reasons. So, we are creating these videos to make this information more readily accessible.
The videos will be found with the application materials on our website after Labor Day. They will cover the following subjects: the application form, bishop’s form, budget, timeline, submission process, additional forms—including the audit and grant processing form—and a video in Spanish. The UTO Board is committed to helping applicants submit the best possible application.
Our UTO staff officer, the Rev. Canon Heather Melton, is available to answer questions and provide a review of your application. Please be aware of our deadlines for receiving direct assistance. The last day you can receive a full review of your application is Jan. 9. January 12 is the last day you can have your budget reviewed, and the 17 is the last day your application will be reviewed for completeness.
The members of the UTO Board are grateful for your participation and support of UTO. We understand that each project represents people answering God’s call to take a leap of faith to serve him. Our responsibility is to help make that leap a reality.
