As we head toward the end of the year, we want to remind you to consider a year-end gift to UTO, and there are a variety of ways to give!
Want to make a legacy gift to UTO this year? Consider donating to our Memorial Trust Fund. The Memorial Trust Fund was created in the 1980s to ensure funding for the work of UTO in a way that would not require taking funds from the Ingathering. (Prior to the trust being created, UTO materials were funded out of the Ingathering, and staffing was funded through the General Convention budget and smaller trust funds.) Beginning in 2025, UTO will only be funded through the trust funds that support this ministry, so giving to the Memorial Trust is a way to ensure the lasting legacy of gratitude through UTO. Each donation is recorded in our online (and in person at General Convention) legacy book for the Memorial Trust Fund. You can also remember the Memorial Trust in your will and estate planning. You can learn more about the Memorial Trust here.
Thankful for your blessings in 2024? Now is the time to make your year-end thank offering. Make sure to count your coins in your Blue Boxes, read through your gratitude journal, and donate today. Please be sure to send your check no later than Dec. 15 in order to ensure your donation is counted in 2024. You can also give online through Dec. 31 to count in 2024. Support the Ingathering here.
Join us on social media for Giving Tuesday! This Giving Tuesday we’re joining forces with our friends at Episcopal Migration Ministries to support their important work of welcome. Follow us at @UnitedThankOffering on Facebook and Instagram to learn more.
In addition to the above ways of giving, UTO is offering Christmas cards as one last way to support the Ingathering in 2024. You can read more about our Christmas cards in the next article and order your Christmas cards here.
Thank you for all the ways you’re supporting UTO as the year comes to an end!
