Thank you to all of our leaders and members whose contributions have made this Ingathering possible. We are so very grateful for all of you.
Just a reminder that the total Ingathering is made up of several kinds of funds:
- Thank Offerings – This is the heart of our total Ingathering and represents the gratitude of our members and leaders.
- Trust Fund Income – This includes 19 trust funds that were set up as part of someone’s estate to contribute to the Ingathering in perpetuity. Trust Fund 1021 was created by the Board using funds that were returned by grant sites that they were unable to use; the interest from this trust is enough to fund almost an entire grant on its own. The Emery Trust funds specific programs and is awarded as grants during the annual granting process.
- Interest – Interest accrued on the Ingathering account is included in the total Ingathering amount. This is why it is very important to send in your funds as soon as possible so they can grow over the year and fund even more mission projects.
- Returned Grant Funds – This year over $100,000 was returned to the Ingathering by grant sites. These funds are added back into the Ingathering so that we can ensure that every penny given to UTO is given away.
To learn more about these funds and the amount contributed to the Ingathering by each, please see our Ingathering report or the 2024 annual report (coming in our April UTO leaders newsletter and then the May news).
To download the full Ingathering report, which includes donations by diocese since 2000, please click here. We’ve also updated the Ingathering by Triennium document to include inflation to 2025. This is a really interesting way to look at the Ingathering because it allows you to see the money with all of the same value, which then allows you to see how things have grown and declined over the years.
