Stewardship of Creation: Resources

Advisory Council on the Stewardship of Creation
General Convention 2015 created an Advisory Council on the Stewardship of Creation. The Advisory Council casts vision and supports the work of the whole church as we seek to form loving, liberating and life-giving relationship with all of creation.

  • The Council administers a small grants program to support new and ongoing work in the Church on environment. Learn more at
  • The Church has committed to work in three eco-justice sites across the Church: Arctic Village, Alaska; coastal Louisiana; and Dominican Republic. The eco-justice projects are locally determined and run, supported by the Council and Staff.
  • Regional Consultative Groups are forming across the Church to link people and groups who share wisdom and collaborate around new environmental initiatives.
