What is policy advocacy and how is it different from, and complementary to, political activism? How can you leverage your personal power to influence U.S. policies on issues that matter to you, and how is such activity an expression of carrying out our faith? This workshop explores the work of the church’s Office of Government Relations and the basic tools for engaging elected officials in advocacy, and allows ample open space to discuss questions attendees had around advocacy and political engagement.
