On Thursday, February 22, Thursdays at 2, a favorite and popular feature produced by the Office of Communications, presents New Ministries: Hope Sandwich Co., a ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church in San Bernardino, CA (Diocese of Los Angeles).
Hope Sandwich Co. is a social enterprise in the form of a food truck. For every meal sold, another is provided to a person in need in San Bernardino. This is accomplished through partnerships with Lutheran City Mission and the local food bank. In 2016, St. John’s received a $100,000 New Church Plant grant from the Episcopal Church to start this ministry.
