The Episcopal Church offers two digital Christmas Eve programs
The Episcopal Church is offering a new way to share a Christmas Eve service or pageant this year, offering two, digital Christmas Eve programs on December 24. Available on both the Episcopal Church website and the Episcopal Church on Facebook page, these programs make Christmas Eve worship accessible to those not attending a service or program at a local church.
Program offerings
Christmas Eve “Tots and Toddlers” Pageant
Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Lexington, Kentucky
A fun-for-all-ages retelling of the Christmas story with the St. Michael’s congregation. Featuring favorite hymns, traditional readings and carols, and a live pony and donkey! Join us in watching and share your own memories and traditions from your local parishes. (3:00pm EST)
Twilight Christmas Eve Service
Chapel of the Transfiguration, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Join us for a traditional Christmas Eve service at the foot of the Grand Tetons in the historic and rustic Chapel of the Transfiguration. The Rev. Jimmy Bartz and the congregation of St. John’s Episcopal Church in nearby Jackson Hole lead us in evening worship, celebrating the coming of Christ among us. (7:00pm EST)
People choosing to participate on the Episcopal Church Facebook page are invited to use Facebook Premiere, a new feature available through Facebook Watch which offers viewers the opportunity to “subscribe” to upcoming programs before the air date. Subscribers receive a reminder shortly before the program airs and will be able to comment and share their viewing experience with others around the world.
Facebook Premiere links for each service will be available on both the Episcopal Church website and the Episcopal Church on Facebook page on Friday, December 21.
Both services will be available, on the same sites, for on-demand viewing following these Facebook Premiere events.
