Seminarians of color are invited to an important gathering, the Seminarians of Color Conference on February 8 to 11, 2017.

Sponsored by the Episcopal Church Ethnic Ministries Offices, the Conference will be held at the Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center, in Oviedo, FL

According to the Ethnic Missioners, this event is designed to bring together Episcopal seminarians of color who are part of the Ethnic Ministries (Asiamerica, Black, Indigenous, and Latino/Hispanic) and enrolled in a Diocesan theological school or traditional seminary from around the country to share common visions and dreams, concerns, and issues experienced in seminary settings; to network; and to nurture cross-cultural friendships in a safe environment.

Participants will hear from experienced clergy of color as they share their wisdom and expertise on theology in context, praxis of ministry, intercultural and ecumenical collaborations, best practices, and theological excellence, as well as new and emergent models in ministry and church development.

Registration is here.  The conference registration fee is $50 per person which includes lodging, meals and local transportation from the airport.  Registration deadline is January 13.
