The United Thank Offering (UTO) Board and staff are thrilled to announce Raising Grateful Voices, an opportunity to gather together to learn, share, and experience UTO Grant sites.
UTO is partnering with Missional Voices’ 2019 National Gathering and Christ Church Cathedral in New Orleans for this event. Raising Grateful Voices is the first of what will be a series of annual UTO regional gatherings held in conjunction with complementary gatherings this triennium.
Raising Grateful Voices begins after lunch on Wednesday, June 12, and ends at lunchtime on Thursday, June 13. Workshops include: UTO offerings on best financial practices and ways to promote UTO; Introduction to Asset-Based Community Development; Gratitude and Faith Formation; Grant Writing Best Practices. The featured guest for the closing event is UTO grant recipient Kids Orchestra from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who will present some of the practices the group started thanks to their grant.
Registration for the full UTO event is $40. Sign up here.
Missional Voices’ 2019 National Gathering
Missional Voices was started in 2015 by group of seminarians asking a simple question: What if God is up to something really big and global but it can only be discovered through the small and local? It was through the exploration of this question that Missional Voices was born: a gathering for the sake of reimagining church and transforming neighborhoods.
The 2019 Missional Voices National Gathering brings together church leaders, seminarians, church planters, entrepreneurs, artists, and everyday visionaries to discuss innovative ministries and missional communities both within and outside of the traditional church context. A representative of Jericho Road, a UTO Grant site, will be one of the featured speakers at Missional Voices.
Participants do not need to attend the Missional Voices gathering (MV19) in order to attend Raising Grateful Voices. Participants who would like to also attend MV19 can do so at a special rate of $74 for UTO – use the code MVUTO at checkout. More information and registration for MV19, including hotel and special rates, here.
