Nancy Davidge of Marblehead, Massachusetts has been named interim public affairs officer for the Episcopal Church, a member of the Presiding Bishop’s staff.

Canon Michael Hunn, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Ministry Within the Episcopal Church. “Already I’ve been impressed with her wisdom and dedication. Her years of expertise working with the press in the health care industry and also her relationships with communicators across the Episcopal Church have made her quickly a trusted member of the communications team. “
As public affairs officer, Davidge is part of the Office of Communication, with responsibility for disseminating news and messages from the Episcopal Church to members of Church and beyond, providing information and other resources media representatives reporting on the mission and ministries of the Episcopal Church. During the upcoming 79th General Convention of the Episcopal Church, [July 3-13, 2018 in Austin, Texas], Davidge will be onsite, managing the media room and hosting daily press briefings to ensure the messages of General Convention, House of Bishops, and House of Deputies are told accurately and in the spirit of the Episcopal Church.

Meet Nancy Davidge
Nancy Davidge, a multi-faceted communicator and strategist, is principal of The Davidge Group, which offers strategic marketing and communications services to help organizations and businesses tailor messaging to target audiences.
She began her career working for the Girl Scouts, and then spent 20 years in senior level marketing and communications positions for regional and national health care companies. Davidge then made a career shift to educational institutions, including Episcopal Divinity School, where she served as director of marketing and communication for eight years before joining the Episcopal Church Foundation as founding editor of ECF Vital Practices in 2010. An active member of Episcopal Communicators, Davidge served for six years on their board, including three as president.
During the 14 years she has worked on assignments related to the Episcopal Church, Davidge has been recognized by her peers for outstanding work, receiving over 340 Polly Bond Awards from Episcopal Communicators.
