In the next four months – May 1 to August 31 – the Episcopal Church will witness the consecration of one bishop and the election of three bishops.

Consecrations

One consecration of a bishop is slated for May to August. Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori will officiate at the ordination service.

May 17: Diocese of New York Bishop Suffragan – The Rev. Allen Shin, elected bishop suffragan on December 7, 2013.

Elections

During May to August, three bishop elections are scheduled:

May 2-3: Diocese of Maryland Bishop Suffragan

May 3: Diocese of Mississippi

May 17: Diocese of East Carolina

Canonical Consent Process

At this time, there are no canonical consent processes underway for May to August. However, the Rev.
