Episcopal Office of Communication will live webcast Nuevo Amanecer Conference

Bringing an important national conference to as many people as possible, the Office of Communication will live webcast the keynote speakers at Nuevo Amanecer, a three-day Episcopal Church conference exploring Latino/Hispanic ministry.

Focusing in the theme Nuestra Vision: Nuestra Mision en Accion/Our Vision: Our Mission In Action. The conference will be held November 15 – 17 at Kanuga Conference Center, Hendersonville NC.

Live webcast of keynote presentations:

On Monday, November 15 at 3 pm 4:30 pm Eastern (2 pm Central, 1 pm Mountain, noon Pacific), the Rev. Miguelina Espinal will address “Building a framework for ministry.” She is Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Epiphany, Orange, NJ (Diocese of Newark) and served in the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic in various capacities for several years. She has served as member of Latino/Hispanic Ministry Council of Advice; Associate Rector of St. Paul”s Church in Paterson, NJ (Diocese of Newark) and served as the Episcopal Church Associate Program Officer for Young Adult Ministries & Leadership Recruitment.

On Tuesday, November 16 at 9 am 10:45 am Eastern (8 am Central, 7 am Mountain, 6 am Pacific), the Rev. Alberto Cutié will speak on “Equipping God”s people for leadership.” Internationally known as Padre Alberto, he is a best-selling author/columnist/TV personality and hosted a popular, Spanish-speaking secular talk show both on radio and television. He served as General Director and President of Pax Catholic Communications, a multimedia ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami. Cutié was recently received into the Episcopal Church and installed as Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Resurrection in Biscayne Park, FL. Padre Alberto is unable to travel to Kanuga for this conference and will be keynoting live via satellite.
