Diocese of Taiwan notified of successful canonical consent process
The Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan has received notification from Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry and Registrar of General Convention, the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, that Bishop-Elect Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang has received the required majority of consents in the canonical consent process detailed in Canon III.11.3.
In giving consent to his ordination and consecration, Standing Committees and bishops with jurisdiction attest to knowing of “no impediment on account of which” Bishop-Elect Chang ought not to be ordained as bishop, and that his election was conducted in accordance with the Canons.
The Rev. Dr. Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang was elected Bishop on August 3, 2019. His consecration and ordination service will be on February 22, 2020.

La Diócesis Episcopal de Taiwán recibió una notificación del Obispo Presidente y Primado Michael B. Curry y del Registrador de la Convención General, el Reverendo Canónigo Michael Barlowe, de que el obispo electo Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang ha recibido la mayoría requerida de consentimientos en el proceso de consentimiento canónico detallado en el Canon III.11.3.
Al dar consentimiento a su ordenación y consagración, los Comités Permanentes y los obispos con jurisdicción dan fe de que “no hay impedimento debido al cual” el obispo electo Chang no deba ser ordenado como obispo, y de que su elección se llevó a cabo de acuerdo con los cánones.
El Rvdo. Dr. Lennon Yuan-Rung Chang fue elegido obispo el 3 de agosto 2019. Su servicio de consagración y ordenación será el 22 de febrero de 2019.
