DFMS enters lease agreement for Episcopal Church Center space

An agreement has been finalized between the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society (DFMS) and The Consulat General de la Republique d’Haiti to lease an entire floor at the Episcopal Church Center, 815 Second Avenue in New York City.

“Following a period of negotiations, I am pleased to announce that the Consulat General de la Republique d’Haiti will be leasing space at the Church Center,” announced Bishop Stacy Sauls, Episcopal Church Chief Operating Officer. “We look forward to a mutually beneficial arrangement.”

Consul General Charles A. Forbin will lead the staff.  The Consulate is expected to move from other New York City locations to its new quarters in September.

The Consulate will lease 11,598 square feet on the sixth floor of the Church Center.  N. Kurt Barnes, Chief Financial Officer, said the lease meets the budget expectations as approved by General Convention 2012 in July.

The lease agreement is for 15 years with termination rights available at five and ten year intervals.

The Consulat General de la Republique d’Haiti joins the Ad Council, which has leased two and one-half floors of the Church Center since 2007. CB Richard Ellis was the leasing agent for both transactions.
