Deadline nears for Joint Nominating Committee survey; new service initiated for comments, thoughts
The Episcopal Church Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the Presiding Bishop (JNCPB) has issued a reminder that the deadline nears for completing the survey inviting broad-based feedback on the desired qualities and gifts of the next Presiding Bishop. The survey is available here. In Spanish here. In French here.
Also, in an effort to accommodate inquiries that have been received, responders’ additional comments, suggestions and thoughts can be logged here: pbnominatingcommittee@gmail.com. This new service carries the same deadline as the survey.
The JNCPB is comprised of a lay member, a clergy person, and a bishop elected from each of the nine provinces of the Episcopal Church, plus two youth representatives, appointed by the President of the House of Deputies, the Rev. Gay Jennings. The General Convention Deputies and bishops serve a three-year term to conclude with the election of the next Presiding Bishop at General Convention 2015 in Salt Lake City.
The deadline is September 30.
