Deadline nears for Center Director Position for Episcopal Church

The application deadline for the Episcopal Church’s Director of Evangelism and Congregational Life Center is Friday, June 5 at 5 pm.

The focus of the Evangelism and Congregational Life Center is to “serve the people of the Episcopal Church as they seek to restore the wholeness of God’s creation by connecting them to creative and innovative resources needed to transform congregational life.”

According to the job summary: The goal of the center director for Evangelism and Congregational Life (ECL) is to form and supervise a cohesive, effective, and accountable team united around the common purpose of effecting spiritual transformation in The Episcopal Church through congregations and gathered communities. The Center for Evangelism and Congregational Life incorporates the following focus areas: Congregational Vitality, Ethnic and Multicultural Ministries, Christian Formation, Congregational Research, Evangelism, Stewardship, Worship and Spirituality, and Episcopal Migration Ministries. The director supervises 35 staff members located in offices in New York, Seattle, Miami, Omaha, and Los Angeles, as well as several telecommuters.

The Center director will supervise a team, maintain budgetary responsibilities for the Center, and work collaboratively with others in mission and ministry. The position is based at the Episcopal Church Center in New York City.
