The Episcopal Church announces the opening of applications for Conant Grants for the 2023-2024 academic year. The deadline to apply is Friday, Jan. 16.
Information, instructions, and the application are available online.
Conant Grant funds are designated for the improvement of seminary-based theological education. Specifically, the grants are directed for the support of research, writing, and course development by faculty members at the recognized Episcopal seminaries in the United States.
The grant awards are derived from a trust fund established by William S. and Mary M. Conant in 1953. Last year, 16 Conant Grants were awarded for a total of $117,965.25.
Please note that those who were awarded grants in 2022 and have either deferred or not completed the projects will not be eligible for an award in 2023.
For more information, contact grants associate Ann Hercules.
Applications will be reviewed by Conant Fund Grant Review Committee members Diane Butler, Samantha Clare, Karen Grane, and the Rev. Anne Kitch, with the assistance of Hercules.
