More information, applications and instructions are available here
The 2017-2018 internship is offered in conjunction with MVNG, Inc. (Missional Voices), located in Houston, TX. Houston, the largest city in Texas, is home to several innovative ministries along with the offices of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas. Duties of the internship will include working with MVNG to assist with the development, organization, and marketing of the 2018 National Gathering (scheduled for April 19-21, 2018, in Indianapolis, IN) and other MVNG resources.
“The United Thank Offering has been around for more than 125 years, and continues to look to the future, and we’re excited to partner with them,” said the Rev. Alan Bentrup, co-founder of Missional Voices and a priest in the Diocese of Texas. “This internship will allow Missional Voices to help build on our core values of innovation and connection among people on the front lines of creativity in mission.”
The intern will also be involved in the development of peer networking groups for innovative ministry practitioners (working in conjunction with United Thank Offering and Virginia Theological Seminary). In addition to the work with MVNG, the intern will attend United Thank Offering board meetings and speak at public events regarding work with United Thank Offering.
Applicants will need to be comfortable with public speaking, travel, and show a willingness to participate on a team. Applicants will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; collaboration software such as Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom; and social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The internship includes housing, insurance, travel costs, a stipend and intentional mentoring and begins on September 1.
Applications are due July 10.
