Under a fresh approach to grant-funding for new Episcopal communities, The Episcopal Church’s Executive Council approved a $565,500 investment in 29 diverse projects during its October 2026 meeting. The recipients—who include multicultural and inclusive communities across the U.S. and in Europe—have defined their “next faithful step” in growing their outreach, ranging from resource development to establishing ministry and worship spaces.

Our gathering included 118 bishops and bishops-elect, representing 93 dioceses and special ministries across 17 countries and territories. Mindful of the pressures and challenges facing our world and our church, we are grateful for this time set apart for spiritual renewal and focused work. We leave this meeting with deepened relationships and renewed commitments to the ministry we share in Jesus Christ.
