2019 UTO Annual Grants Announced!

June 17, 2019
United Thank Offering

The UTO Board is very happy to announce the 2019 regular UTO Grant recipients. We were able to award 33 grants this year. A list and description of each can be found at www.episcopalchurch.org/uto, and the brochures will be at the distribution center shortly. This year the focus was Go: Crossing boundaries created by race, culture, and economics to create communities that listen deeply and learn to live like Jesus. Each project will help break down barriers created by society and will result in new communities of people living out the Gospel. Through your gratitude and generosity, our Ingathering total was $1,535,740.55, which reflects an increase of more than $200,000! We received 75 applications totaling more than $4 million, so there were a number of projects that we were unable to fund. It is our sincere hope that we will continue to increase the practice of gratitude and giving so that next year we can fund even more great projects. Since 1889, UTO has awarded 5,296 grants for a total of $138,629,911.07. For a complete list of all the grants awarded, please check out our website.

Remember that every penny placed in a Blue Box goes toward funding innovative mission and ministry throughout the Church. The creation, development, and printing of all UTO materials and resources are covered by proceeds from the Memorial Trust Fund, which UTO gladly accepts donations to. If you are interested in contributing, you can find information on the UTO website. Be sure to let us know if you wish to honor or memorialize someone close to you, and we will send an acknowledgement card to announce your gift.

The United Thank Offering Board wishes to congratulate all 2019 UTO Grant recipients, which include the 33 regular grants as well as six Young Adult and Seminarian projects. We are always deeply moved by the generosity and level of commitment made by all those who make these projects possible.
