Episcopal UN

The Global Partnerships team is very happy to introduce you to our new Global Partnerships/Episcopal UN intern 2018 – 2019, Misty Kiwak Jacobs, who began her internship with the Episcopal UN office earlier this month.

Misty’s bio, in her own words:

Misty Kiwak Jacobs is a Pushcart Prize nominated essayist and graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. A native of Arizona, she and her husband have called Saratoga, New York home for the last 3 years. She is the mother of two young adults, Isaiah and Chloe. A recent convert to the Episcopal Church, Misty is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Yale Divinity School where she serves as Non-fiction Editor on the Letters Journal published by Yale Divinity School/ISM.

Misty will learn about and contribute to the Episcopal Church’s ministry with the United Nations during the 2018 – 2019 academic year. She brings to this ministry many unique and well-developed skills and talents, especially in communications and hospitality. Among other responsibilities, she will network, attend and report on UN meetings with the Episcopal Church’s Representative to the UN and assist with hosting events and offering hospitality to visitors and delegates.

Misty is an experienced and award-winning writer, and we are especially pleased to announce that she will feature as a regular guest blogger on our Episcopal UN webpage, with her own blog series, “God’s Peace Surpassing UNderstanding”, sharing the Church’s ministry with Episcopalians around the globe through her own unique lens. Please look for her first blog in this space very soon. Feel free to be in touch with Misty directly by contacting her at GPintern@episcopalchurch.org.

Please join us as we rejoice in God’s abundant gifts that Misty already is bringing to our work together.
