The Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations expresses its concern regarding the political and humanitarian crisis in Venezuela. The country’s political and economic situation has created a humanitarian crisis which has forced many Venezuelans to find refuge in other Latin American countries, USA, and Europe. We are concerned about the legitimacy of the May 20th presidential election and urge the government of Venezuela to work with all parties to find a mutually agreeable outcome. We continue to pray and advocate for a peaceful resolution of the crisis facing our sisters and brothers in the diocese of Venezuela and urge continued support for those seeking protection in neighboring countries.
