Merry Christmas from the Office of Government Relations

As we continue this season of Advent and prepare for Christmas, we reflect on all we have accomplished together this year. Through the Episcopal Public Policy Network, the Office of Government Relations sent 37 Action Alerts and more than a dozen newsletters this year. In response, you sent more than 80,000 messages to your elected officials and helped Congress understand the priorities of our Church.

We are grateful for you walking with us on this journey of advocacy, directed by the guidance of General Convention and grounded in our faith.

Over this year, Office of Government Relations staff have continued to build and deepen our relationships with government officials. We have gathered resources from the federal government, signed letters with partners both interreligious and secular, and shared resources to help in many forms of advocacy work.

We thank you for participating in so many events, listening to our Episco-pols podcast, promoting our election resources and helping to get out the vote. You inspire us with your faith, commitment, and passion for this work.

We are grateful to those who can attend our Weekly Network Calls every Thursday 1-1:30 pm ET to connect on current activity in our government relations work. Whether you are a new member or have been with us for years, we are grateful for your commitment.

May we remember this Advent and Christmas, that it is the light of Christ in the world that brings true peace. We wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyous Christmas and New Year. We look forward to continuing this journey with you in 2025!

O God, who makes us glad by the yearly remembrance of

the birth of thy only Son Jesus Christ: Grant that as we

joyfully receive him for our Redeemer, so we may with sure

confidence behold him when he shall come to be our Judge;

who lives and reigns with thee and the Holy Ghost, one

God, world without end. Amen.
