Last night, the House of Representatives came together in a major way and passed a bipartisan tax package that outlined provisions for an expanded child tax credit (CTC). The Episcopal Church celebrates the passing of this legislation and hopes the Senate will follow suit in continuing to provide aid for the most vulnerable communities. 

We are thankful to Rep. Smith and Senator Wyden for their leadership on this issue, and to all the members of the House who came together in a bipartisan way to provide additional resources to an estimated 16 million families.
