Regions of Engagement
We invite you to explore the diverse regions where we foster meaningful connections and collaborationswithin the Anglican Communion and with ecumenical partners. Our mission is to build bridges that extend across continents. We work to achieve this by bringing together The Episcopal Church and its global partners to work collaboratively on shared goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals. The SDGs were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
We have an officer actively nurturing these relationships and representing our office for each region below. If you’re interested in a partnership or need information about a region or partner, please contact us.
Africa
In Africa, our partnerships reflect the continent’s vibrant tapestry of cultures and traditions. We build relationships with dioceses and churches that are autonomous in their respective regions but are part of the Anglican Communion family. Our engagement also extends to ecumenical and interfaith communities. Mission work is mutual and collaborative Collectively, we advocate for peace building and conflict transformation, to create self-sustainable development resources for all God’s people.

This region’s dynamic and diverse landscapes present unique opportunities for partnership and mission. We connect The Episcopal Church with Anglican dioceses and churches throughout the region. From South Asia (Pakistan/India/Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to East Asia (Korea/Japan/Hong Kong and the Philippines) and throughout South East Asia the South Pacific (OCEANIA) to engage in initiatives that encourage relationship-building for church-to-church partnerships. Network facilitation seeks to address and support social justice, interfaith dialogue, and environmental stewardship programs. The Episcopal Church in Jerusalem & the Middle East
This Anglican Communion Province consists of three dioceses: Jerusalem (including Lebanon Syria, Israel, Palestine and Jordan,) Cyprus and the Gulf, (eight countries and 14 church compounds) and Iran. This region of the world is constantly under stress and complicated political realities.
As The Episcopal Church’s representative, the Partnership Officer for the Middle East visits the area regularly including parishes and institutions, develops, supports and nurtures relationships, seeks to keep our Church informed of issues and events and collaborates with other departments to offer pastoral support and encouragement. Every year, many Episcopalians have found the Good Friday Offering to be an effective way to express their support for the ministries of the three dioceses of the Province of The Episcopal Church in Jerusalem & The Middle East. We invite you to learn more about this event here.
