Episcopal Relief & Development offers two programs in which children (and others) are invited to plan and complete a project in their local community or congregation.
The Abundant Life Garden Project includes resources to facilitate a formation program focused on a community garden. To further link this program to Episcopal Relief & Development’s ongoing work with agriculture in a number of countries, a https://www.episcopalrelief.org/ is included in the resources.
The Rita Mosquito Program on Malaria encourages children and teens to create a community awareness and fundraising campaign in their local congregation or community. A number of resources (art templates, craft ideas, videos, talking points) are included in the materials.
These resources are also free and available at www.episcopalrelief.org/children.
I’d love to hear about how you are creatively incorporating these curriculum into your programming. Post in the comments either here on or the Lifelong Formation Facebook page.
