Companion Dioceses

The Dioceses of Maine and Haiti have shared a companion relationship with one another since 2002. The roots of the companionship are in partnerships between several Maine parishes and congregations in rural Haiti that were formed even before the official relationship began.

In our time, God is teaching us that all churches, be they in the North, South, East or West, are "sent" to make known the Good News to those in their own place and in all places. All churches exist in circumstances where God is sending them as ambassadors to proclaim the Gospel.
