CPG president plans to retire

June 9, 2010

T. Dennis Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of the Church Pension Group and a member of the Church Pension Fund Board of Trustees since May 2004, has told the trustees that he plans to retire.

The trustees will meet at CPG's New York City offices on June 17 to discuss the process for selecting Sullivan's successor and he will stay on until that person is in place, according to a June 9 CPG news release.

"The board has accepted Mr. Sullivan's decision with great regret and gratitude for his inspired leadership during his tenure with CPG," said board chair and retired Diocese of Virginia Bishop Peter Lee in the news release. "We will miss him, but we respect and honor his decision to take time for himself and his wife, Susan, in the prime of their lives. Mr. Sullivan is supported by an outstanding senior management team at CPG who will continue to lead the organization forward in the months ahead."
