The Episcopal Churches of the Shreveport Convocation participated in a Maundy Thursday Eucharist and Footwashing for the friends of inner-city Shreveport. These neighbors are assisted in daily needs by Hope House, a day shelter supported by Church of the Holy Cross in Shreveport. The Eucharist was celebrated by The Right Rev. Jacob W Owensby, Bishop of the Dioceses of Western Louisiana. Additional services of foot exams by Physical Therapy faculty of LSU Allied Health Science and medical care by St. Luke’s Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry, an indigent health care ministry also sponsored by the Shreveport Episcopal Churches.
