During orientation, we asked new members of the Young Adult Service Corps to reflect on the concept of ‘home’ as they’re ready to immerse themselves in a new community abroad.

Colin is about to embark on a remarkable journey with the Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) of The Episcopal Church. They will immerse themselves in a vibrant and welcoming community, exploring their faith in a new cultural context.

Colin is a hopeful young Episcopalian sent to the Tsedaqah community in Liverpool by The Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina. Tsedaqah is a missional community based at Liverpool Cathedral, made up of young people from around the Triangle of Hope living together in community for a year. The Triangle of Hope is an Anglican-led effort to form covenantal community between the dioceses of Liverpool (England), Kumasi (Ghana), and Virginia, dedicated to transforming the long history, ongoing effects and continuing presence of slavery in our world through repentance, reconciliation and mission.

During orientation, we asked new members of the Young Adult Service Corps to reflect on the concept of ‘home’ as they’re ready to immerse themselves in a new community abroad.

YASC provides a transformative experience for Episcopalians aged 21-35 who are eager to deepen their faith while engaging with diverse communities across the global Anglican Communion. Participants like Colin bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a spirit of adventure to their roles, embodying the core values of service and connection.

Join us to discover more about Colin’s upcoming journey, their aspirations for their time in Liverpool, and how they anticipate this experience will shape their life and faith.
