During orientation, we asked new members of the Young Adult Service Corps to reflect on the concept of ‘home’ as they’re ready to immerse themselves in a new community abroad.

In this video, we introduce you to Catalina Trapp, an inspiring young Episcopalian from Southern California who is being sent by the Episcopal Diocese of Nevada.

Catalina is about to embark on a remarkable journey with the Young Adult Service Corps (YASC) of The Episcopal Church. She will be heading to the Diocese of Central Mexico in the Anglican Church of Mexico, where she will immerse herself in a vibrant and welcoming community, explore her faith in a new cultural context, and serve as a dedicated partner in local mission efforts.

During orientation, we asked new members of the Young Adult Service Corps to reflect on the concept of ‘home’ as they’re ready to immerse themselves in a new community abroad.

YASC provides a transformative experience for Episcopalians aged 21-35 who are eager to deepen their faith while engaging with diverse communities across the global Anglican Communion. Participants like Catalina bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a spirit of adventure to their roles, embodying the core values of service and connection.

Join us to discover more about Catalina’s upcoming journey, her aspirations for her time in Central Mexico, and how she anticipates this experience will shape her life and faith.
