Chaplain Captain Aaron Oliver activated by the New Jersey Army National Guard to support the COVID-19 relief missions in the state
Fr. Aaron Oliver, a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Morristown, NJ, is also a Chaplain (CPT) in the New Jersey Army National Guard. For the past month, he has been activated as part of the COVID-19 relief mission. Soldiers and Airmen of the NJ National Guard have been mobilized to serve in Veterans Nursing Homes and long term care facilities around the state. They have been providing medical, custodial, and staff assistance to the facilities during a difficult time in our state and nation. Fr. Aaron has been providing an active ministry of presence to these personnel, offering spiritual support and guidance to them as they serve staff and residents of these facilities. The Episcopal Church and its Armed Forces and Federal Ministries support ministry such as this on the front lines at home and overseas.
