6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Virginia Theological Seminary in partnership with Immanuel Church on the Hill, Alexandria invites you to the Mollegen Forum at 6pm on Sunday September 25, 2016. The keynote speaker will be former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright who will address the theme, “The Life of Faith and the Life of the Nation.”

Ten years ago Madeleine Albright wrote, The Mighty and The Almighty. In it she explored the constructive part that religion can play in domestic and foreign policy and the necessity for politicians and policy makers to engage with and understand religion. The book was described by Václav Havel as “timely”, “compelling”, “wise” and “unique.” In her Mollegen address, and in conversation with a panel of women leaders, Dr. Albright will explore what she would write if she were writing the book in 2016.

The evening will begin with Evensong hosted by Immanuel Church on the Hill in VTS's Immanuel Chapel and end with a reception in Scott Lounge. The event is run as part of the 2016-2017 “Women of the Communion” program of the Center for Anglican Communion Studies.
