Salmoon Bashir to Support Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations from the Cathedral of St. Philip
On March 1, the Rev. Salmoon Bashir stepped into the full-time position of curate at the Cathedral of St. Philip. In his capacity as curate, Bashir will take on specific responsibilities in support of the ecumenical and interreligious relations ministries of The Episcopal Church.
A recent graduate of the Candler School of Theology, Bashir is from Pakistan and has more than 10 years of experience providing thoughtful leadership in diverse, multicultural, and multifaith spaces, including Fearless Dialogues (where he was the chief of staff) and The Episcopal Church (where he served as an ecumenical and interreligious relations consultant). He will be ordained to the priesthood in The Episcopal Church on June 24.
