Episcopal Church Renews Commitment to the Shoulder-to-Shoulder Campaign
Ten years ago, the Shoulder-to-Shoulder Campaign – a strategic interreligious partner of the Episcopal Church – was formed to combat anti-Muslim bigotry. On its commemoration of ten years in action, Shoulder-to-Shoulder has released a Statement of Renewed Commitment.
“The need for Shoulder to Shoulder is even more urgent today than it was ten years ago . . . We take seriously the responsibility and necessity to speak up and take action, especially when the voice of hate and exclusion comes from our own communities,” the Campaign says in their recent statement.
The Episcopal Church has long partnered with Shoulder-to-Shoulder and we renew our commitment to them in this work. To find out more about the 10th-year commemoration, click here.
