The BLESS Appeal: Racial Reconciliation
The BLESS Appeal supports The Episcopal Church’s programs to repair the deep wounds of racial division within and beyond our church communities.
The Episcopal Church is committed to eliminating the sin of racism from the life of the Church. Through grants and outreach, the Church actively supports the work of Becoming Beloved Community. Our long-term commitment to racial healing, justice, and reconciliation includes developing and recommending best practices for dismantling racism training and collecting information from dioceses and provinces about their successes and challenges in fulfilling this bedrock mission.
Loving – Together, we are growing as reconcilers, justice-makers, and healers in the name of Christ.
Liberating – Telling the Truth, Proclaiming the Dream
Life-Giving – The Beloved Community StorySharing Campaign seeks to help faith communities and individuals to share and receive stories of faith, race, and difference and to become more effective healers, reconcilers, and ambassadors of Christ in the world.
