Episcopal Diocese of Dallas notified of successful canonical consent process

The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas has received notification from Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry that a majority of both the various diocesan standing committees and the bishops exercising jurisdiction in The Episcopal Church have consented to the reception of the Rt. Rev. Fraser Wynn Lawton as a bishop of The Episcopal Church—and to his appointment as an assistant bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, per Canon III.12.5(b)(3)(ix). The consents received have been certified by the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, registrar of the General Convention.

Episcopal Church welcomes new Safe Church manager, seeks youth ministry officer

After conducting a national search and subsequent interviews, the hiring committee unanimously selected Bronwyn Skov for the position. Skov will shift from her current role as officer for youth ministry in late February.
