Diocese of Central Florida notified of successful canonical consent process for next bishop

The Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida has received notification from Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry that Bishop-elect Justin S. Holcomb has received the required majority of consents in the canonical consent process detailed in Canon III.11.3. The consents received have been certified by the Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, registrar of the General Convention.

Executive Council awards 2023 Constable Fund, Roanridge Trust grants

The Episcopal Church Executive Council approved the awarding of seven Constable Fund grants and eight Roanridge Trust grants—together totaling $487,678—at its February meeting. The Joint Standing Committee on Mission Within The Episcopal Church and two grant review committees made the recommendations.

Joint Budget Committee shares update on 2025-2027 budget process

During The Episcopal Church Executive Council meeting in San Francisco Feb. 9-12, the council’s newly formed Joint Budget Committee shared an update about its work on the 2025-2027 budget. The process will include churchwide listening sessions beginning this spring.
