Global Partnerships

Partnering with God’s world to share the love of Jesus

Events

The Office of Global Partnerships plays a vital role in building and maintaining bridges within the Anglican Communion by representing Episcopalians at various theological and ecumenical dialogue conferences, as well as key regional celebrations. These events foster collaboration and deeper understanding among global Anglican communities. Our partnerships officer ensures that Episcopalians remain engaged and connected to the wider Communion, reinforcing our commitment to shared ministry.

Two major events organized by Global Partnerships are the Good Friday Offering and World Mission Sunday. The Good Friday Offering, established in 1922, focuses on supporting the ministries of the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East. For over a century, Episcopalians have contributed generously to pastoral care, education, and healthcare initiatives in the Holy Land, making a tangible difference in the lives of many. This ministry continues to express compassion and foster peace in the region.

World Mission Sunday, observed on the last Sunday of Epiphany, calls the Episcopal Church to reflect on its global mission to “seek and serve Christ in all persons.” This day emphasizes the importance of our shared ministry with partners around the world and invites Episcopalians to consider their role in supporting the wider Body of Christ through prayer and action.
