Church Planting and Redevelopment Second Tuesdays: August 2024

We invite you to join us during our monthly, online connection points. On “Second Tuesdays,” we invite a conversation partner to explore topics related to new ministry, church planting and/or redevelopment. On “Third Thursdays” we host a ProAction Cafe, designed to help leaders clarify their idea and refine action steps.
Tuesday, Aug. 13: A Conversation with Ann Steigerwald

Over the last few weeks, we have been in conversation with both New Episcopal Community leaders and revitalizers of existing churches, and we have sensed a deepening of questions: What does the liturgy mean to us? How are our practices a barrier/bridge to newcomers? What is core to our work, and can we quit assuming that this vital work must involve the right ordained leader (or any ordained leader)? Can we dare powerful structural shifts, for the sake of the call that is before us?
We have invited a longtime consultant (and friend) of the Office of Church Planting and Revitalization, Ann Steigerwald, to join us to facilitate this conversation.
We value Ann’s experience and perspective as we take a “long, loving look” at who we are and how we are called to show up in order to engage God’s transforming work in the world.
