Sharing the Way of Love Initiatives
Sharing the Way of Love is a $1.1 million campaign to proclaim the loving, liberating, life-giving and genuinely good news of Jesus and welcome people everywhere to reimagine Christianity and join the movement through a coordinated, strategic series of public initiatives.
WORLDWIDE REVIVAL
In partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), The Episcopal Church will host a revival at a major New York City venue in Fall 2020. The event will be live-streamed to churches across America and around the world. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, and other influencers of faith and culture will call on us to pray, live, and publicly engage with the Way of Love. The revival will connect thousands in greater New York City and potentially millions worldwide via live-stream and coordinated satellite events.
WAY OF LOVE PODCAST
Episodes of Bishop Curry’s popular Way of Love podcast feature reflections and faith conversations with leaders and thinkers. In 2020-2021, The Episcopal Church plans to produce three additional seasons, expand content, and engage in marketing aimed at making it one of the top ten religious podcasts in the country.
TRAVELING THE WAY OF LOVE VIDEO SERIES
This existing video series features beautiful short films that follow communities practicing the Way of Love. Additional funding will allow the series to run through 2021, bringing premium content to members and newcomers alike.
WEB-STREAMING VIDEO SERIES
This limited series (4 episodes) for a streaming network such as Netflix or Amazon would feature the Presiding Bishop in spiritual conversation with major public figures. Initial funding will allow for the creation of an industry-standard pilot episode.
EXPANDED WAY OF LOVE RESOURCES
A host of additional print, video, and audio resources help to support individuals and ministries following the Way of Love. Funding is essential to pay for curriculum development by a team of top formation consultants, resource translation to engage Spanish-speaking and French-speaking audiences, a short video course on the Way of Love, and a Way of Love spiritual App for mobile devices, among other efforts.
MULTI-MEDIA MARKETING
The church can only reach millions of additional followers with the assistance of an external marketing team that shares our passion for spreading a loving, liberating, and life-giving message. In partnership with The Episcopal Church’s Office of Communications, an independent marketing team will acquire demographic data, reveal audience trends, and design and execute a comprehensive media strategy that more effectively engages target audiences.
