129 educational scholarships granted throughout Episcopal Church, Anglican Communion
$383,810.93 in scholarships awarded
One hundred twenty-nine educational scholarships, totaling $383,810.93 have been awarded to students in forty-six Episcopal Church dioceses and seven Provinces of the Anglican Communion for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Requests were received from 215 applicants, the largest ever pool of applicants, largely due to effective advertising and an on-line application process.
Margareth Crosnier de Bellaistre, Episcopal Church director of Investment Management and Banking, explained that scholarships were available for students from various ethnic communities; children of missionaries, bishops and clergy; as well as students meeting other particular or wide-ranging eligibility for education and training. “Funding for the program is derived from annual income of designated trust funds established by generous donors,” said Crosnier de Bellaistre.
