This recent post, All Children Deserve Teachers Who Care About Them, by Marian Wright Edelman struck a chord with me.

In my opinion, teachers are not only found in traditional classrooms. They are found in Rec Centers, after-school programs and in our faith communities.

If you are engaged in ministry with children, you are a teacher. I commend this article to you and I challenge you with the idea that each one of us has the opportunity to instill in children a love of learning and a desire to use their gifts to create a better world.
