Anglican Consultative Council passes Resolution supporting Youth Ministry programs
On November 5, the Anglican Consultative Council passed Resolution 15.8, which confirms support of young people in the communion; urges provinces to commit to further development of youth ministries by developing programs, appointing youth ministers and contributing financially to the International Anglican Youth Network; encourages a province from each of the network regions to host a regional gathering on youth ministry; asks provinces to create a prayer for young people and recommends the use of “Ending Violence Against Young Women and Girls.”
We will wait to see how we can best “live out” this Resolution here in the Episcopal Church and at the provincial and diocesan levels. In the meantime you can read about this and other Resolutions passed on https://www.episcopalnewsservice.org/.
The Council wraps up business today, November 7. We continue to hold them in our prayers as they conclude their important work.
