CDO Personal Profile
A form that provides personal and professional information for deployment of Episcopal clergy and lay professionals. The profile is intended to present a concise summary of the skills and experience of each person registered in the deployment system. It is used to match individual skills and talents with opportunities for ministry in the Episcopal Church. The profile includes information concerning the registrant's education, work address, work history, current annual compensation, ministry specialties and skill/experience, and references. A short personal ministry statement by the registrant is also included, along with the registrant's responses to a leadership description survey that represents the registrant's style of ministry. This computerized form was prepared by the Church Deployment Office (CDO) of the Episcopal Church Center. A registration manual is completed and returned to the CDO by clergy and lay professionals who will be registered. The CDO maintains a computerized data bank of the completed profiles. Copies of the profiles are sent to the registrant and the registrant's diocesan office. When a parish needs a member of the clergy or a lay professional, the parish confers with the diocese concerning the qualifications required. The diocese asks the CDO to search its computerized files for the registrants best matching the parish's needs. The CDO sends lists of possible candidates with their profiles to the diocesan office, and the diocese submits lists of nominees with their profiles to the parish.
