In 2023, Episcopal Migration Ministries and its network of local affiliates welcomed 3,026 refugees and 571 individuals with Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) from 37 countries rebuild their lives in peace and security in 12 communities across the United States. View the EMM 2023 Annual Report.
According to the UNHCR’s global trends report (published in June 2024), as of the end of 2023, there were 117.3 million displaced people worldwide, including 37.6 million refugees. From the moment they arrive in their new communities, refugee clients receive care, hospitality, and assistance from professional affiliate staff and from the many generous church volunteers who welcome our newest neighbors through this ministry each year.
